I can't paint the walls in my apartment but desperately want to cover them up, how can I do this?

I have some paintings here and there but the larger they are the more expensive they get. I was thinking more along the lines of giant ';cloths'; with art on them. I looked online but found nothing... help?I can't paint the walls in my apartment but desperately want to cover them up, how can I do this?
Would something like this work?

Try carpets (thin ones) and pin them up, or however you choose to hang them up. You can also have decorations such as art, mirrors, pictures, and/or designs. You can try CARPETS.COM and big stores or industries and look for light weight carpets, or cloths. good luck
I'm not sure if it'll be available where you live but a brand called Namaste make nice wall hangings...we sell them at my work^^
here is something that i have always wanted to do. it van cover the walls and can be very creative.

pick a landscape outside. then slowly begin to take pictures of the landscape piece by piece, like a grid, when ur done, you'll have a couple hundred pictures, then piece them together on your wall.

or 2: dress up the wall with large mirrors

or 3. large tall plants, fake or real

or 4: you can even place blinds on wall.

or 5: place one of those large Japanese mini walls. the ones that you place in your bedroom, when you want change behind them.

its all about distracting the the eye from the wall. and getting rid of the negative space.

with these ideas and your paintings you can cover those walls!

covering up the wall completely, with a sheets, can look overdone, and unprofessional.

the key is to fill up the blank wall space, with items such as these. that way the items will distract the eye from looking at the wall.

if you fill up the negative wall space. you will soon forget whatever is was that you did not like about the wall,

but please don't cover it it up with a sheet or some sort.

or if I have heard of peel and stick wallpaper

you can stick it on, and then when you are finish with it, you just peel the wall paper off. i think it was designed for these kind of situations. You may want to look that up at wal*mart or the local craft store.

i hope this helps!
