Newer home, time to do some serious before winter sanitation. What should I use to wipe the walls down with? I want to disinfect, but I don't want to ruin the pristine paint job that I paid through the nose for. What do you suggest? Thanks! How do you sanatize walls without ruining the paint?
i can suggest a few things. vinegar works very well. cheap and very highly effective. also they have anti bacterial dish soaps that would smell much much better. mix with wram water and voila. cleaning solution. also a more time consuming and more expensive but less messy way would to be to use clorox wipes. you must take great care not to get any moisture into electrical sockets. that could be a huge problem. i recommend washing walls from bottom up in order to avoid this as well as avoiding water spots on the paint. best of luck and happy cleaning! How do you sanatize walls without ruining the paint?
Exactly why would you feel the need to sanitize the walls? Especially if you're never home. I've never sanitized walls. I'm healthy. I have good antibodies.
Warm water and disinfectant. Congrats on your home.
We have just bought a home, it was cheap, but it is going to be ours. I will make comfortable and loving so my family grand babies and my friends will always be welcome.
You can use any neutral disinfectant for that type of job. Just don't use anything acidic or alkaline.
I would use 1 tablespoon bleach to 32oz of water. This should yield an approximate Solution of 100 PPM of Chlorine and be an effective sanitizer. It will also kill mold spores too!
As long as you don't lick the walls they shouldn't need sanitizing.
1/2 water and vingar should be okay
