hi, i have just put in new charcoal/black carpets in my room and i was wondering what colour i should paint my feature walls?? my other walls are white. Please helpWhat colour should i paint my feature walls?
Your feature wall color should be selected according to other decorative choices you are using in your room.
It is quite difficult to suggest a wall paint color without knowing what color pallet you have selected for other elements in the room. You will find that selecting a color choice can be narrowed down according to your furnishings.
For example: you can select a color present in your upholstery, a piece of artwork, drapery fabric or accent pillows. It is usually easier to find a paint color from an existing object rather than selecting a color then matching furnishings.
Because you have chosen a dark carpet and a white wall, I am getting the impression that you like contrast and may desire a modern or a contemporary decor. So, a bold color may suit you for impact. However, go ahead and pick a color from something you already have -- you can't go wrong. What colour should i paint my feature walls?
Those are neutral, you could go with any color that goes with the other items you're putting in your room. Check out hgtv.com for some inspiration. Maybe you want a charcoal wall with red or pink or aqua or a blue accents (picture frames, mirrors, etc.). Have fun! Roxanne
white black and red is classic, but you could try a rust colour, or a deep plum for fun.
remember, it is only paint. if you hate it after a week, then repaint.
why dont you just google it? lol you yahoo'd it so why not google it in images? P.S I love your pink feature walls how they are! or maybe you should do an orange colour like in your family room? hmmm??
I'm with Rxan you need to accent your other items in the room or some other piece of furniture
orange maked the room look bigger, but most people paper the feature wall and match a colour to that.
One wall should be something fluorescent...pink or green or something; but keep your other walls white so people don't go blind when they walk in.
I would go with the white walls to keep the room bright enough.
depends on the art or other items that will be featured on the feature wall
