How do you remove duct tape from walls without removing the paint?

I feel like a total moron!

Thanks! How do you remove duct tape from walls without removing the paint?
Try WD-40,pull gently. How do you remove duct tape from walls without removing the paint?
oo you re in trouble... duct tape is liek the force, if its removed it will tear the universe apart, inyour case the wall. call the producers and try to get a solvent for the glue they use for duct tape or just try to rub it off with gasoline
try buying same color paint and paint the damaged wall it will cover your damaged wall if not try other ideas from your answers.
You can't , You also have to worry about damaging sheet-rock
One, how long has it been on the wall? WD-40 will work, and you pull very slowly. But, if the tape has been on there for a considerable amount of time, anything that will likely take the glue off the wall will likely take the paint off as well.

Either way, pull gently. Even if the paint is removed, I would rather repaint than hang new sheetrock. Taping, floating, etc is not fun.
very slowly
try using a hair dryer to soften the adhesive then use mineral spirits to remove the adhesive
baby oil
maybe a hair dryer would heat the tape up and loosen the glue and get the tape off, then a product like goo-gone could get the sticky off of the wall
wd-40 will leave stains.take your clothes iron and put it on steam.hold it close to the tape, but dont touch it.when the tape has moisture on it,pull it back gently.it's a slow process, but will be minimal damage.
Heat from a hair dryer should loosen it enough to slowly peel the tape off. WD40 will work, but most likely stain the paint in the process................
I'm told WD-40 ';Water Displacement #40';. See my source from an email below...

PS - see #35, and you are NOT a moron! This info below was new to me, too!
I don't know if this will work but try using a hairdryer to melt the glue on the tape and maybe loosen it up enough to pull off without damaging the wall.
try to warm the tape and it will come off then sm gue remover its best 2 go 2 hardware store and ask them then u can describe what type of wall painted or not goop off helps but warmth helps it peel good luck
