please help!!!!!I live in a small apartment, and i can't paint the walls. How do i decorate without spending hardly any $$$??
Well I guess I would have a theme party...a decorating party! Let your imaginative friends help with creative ideas for the apartment....personalized artwork, fabrics, iInteresting 3D displays of your favorite things and things you collect. Sounds like a lot of fun, and you know, absolutely everyone likes to be consulted!I live in a small apartment, and i can't paint the walls. How do i decorate without spending hardly any $$$??
You're 12 and you live in on your own? LOL That's a lot of crap for a small apartment.

screens with designs on them that are large enough to cover the walls..bamboo frames with sheet covering..etc ..then when you leave the flat you can take them down and no damage..
Removeable borders, hanging pictures, photographs or quilts...

you actually legally CAN paint the walls - you just have to put it back to the original condition prior to moving or be subject to losing your security deposit - or being charged even more. So if you do decide to paint - don't go outrageous with colors...
since you have no time,no money and are 12 i would suggest cleaning, putting away the clutter and rearranging what you have to get a different look.
make every room a different color with out painting the walls by getting different color furniture.

it will also make your rooms look more elegant.
Decorate using ordinary objects. Hang random shelves and display books or other nick nacks you have. Buy cheap, patterned wallpaper, cut out different shapes, and hang with pushpins or sticky tack putty for walls. Hang random strips of fabric.

You are 12?

Your questions is well worded for a 12 year old!

Well, regardless, landlords dont like tape, but they can stand small nails.

You can always use newspaper as a back, tape photos of you and friends, photos from magazines or where ever, or even your favorite comic strip.

Regular paper works better and will be stronger, but this is particularly inexpensive.

Finally hang your collages of photos with a nail or 2. The little ones you use to hang photos on.
I live in an apartment, too. We can paint the walls, but we'd have to paint them when we move out, so instead I found pretty fabrics in the discount bin at the fabric store. We tacked them up (so you can't see the tacks or anything) and it looks great as an accent wall. On other walls around the place, we have large framed posters of Van Goghs, and a family picture wall. We bought the posters (already framed) at Big Lots.
