You might find other colors you like. Have you chosen a comforter yet? Pick some colors out of it and paint the headboard wall the darkest color and the other 3 walls a lighter complimentary color.I want to paint 3 of my walls a dark purple but i want to know another color that wud look gud on the 4th wall?
Keep it a very pale colour. Maybe an off white with a slight hint of lilac - that would bring the purple out in the other walls really well. I think there are 2 really good looks you could go for too. You could go for chrome and silver accessories and a lot of mirrors and a simple design on your bed linen giving it a real modern feel or you could make it feel very bling and luxurous and dress it up with bronzes and golds. Some real bling looking cushions. I'm talking dark feathers, broach detailing. I think the later would suit your personality, it will be dark but sophisticated and can you imagine snuggling up in bed with all those cushions and satin throws with a few candles burning? so relaxing.
You are thinking of a feature wall. Normally you use a feature wallpaper. This one is nice, copy and paste this link into your web browser... http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/sto鈥?/a>

Heres another...

Well, lots of colors would work, but since a picture is worth a thousand words, how about checking these out:

This next one is by far my favorite - opting for a textured wall and lots of silver :)

Or perhaps you might want to add a color that comes from an obejct in your room such as bedding, a painting, a decor object you love...

Whatever you decide, enjoy your new space!
A deep olive green or deep mustard yellow. Take a look at a color wheel. If you're just wanting to use two colors in the room, you would want to use colors that are on opposite sides of the wheel (i.e. purple and yellow). These are called complimentary colors. Using a color wheel takes the guess work out selecting colors. Try:

I think that depends on your bedding. In general, I like greens or aqua/blues with purple, but you could also use gray or a lighter shade of your purple. Find bedding first then choose the other color from it.

Maybe something here will give you some ideas:

You might also want to add just a few well placed wall decals:

Pick out your bedding first and draw colors from that, or from a favorite art piece.

If you don't do either of the above, I was going to suggest a line green grayed down; the paint store should have an idea what this means.

I suspect you sleep with your eyes closed.
Here is a way to decide look at your old decor and see what you have the most color in. So.....

look at your clothes your bedding curtains. Or you could leave the color that it has on and get a stencil and paint in the stencil with the purples like a pattern.
Pale pink, but go to sherwinwilliams.com, there is a place where you can take a room and insert your colors, they will suggest a color to go with it. I used this on my purple house three years ago and it worked very well.
white would be look good with it, but other den that there is blk, but that would look better if it was 2 walls purple 2 walkks blk. or to blend the colours in a little with the dark purple make the 4th wall light purple
Chocolate is a beautiful, deep colour, it will definitely match your dark purple walls ! Love it !
New Castle grey%26lt;---------EXACT color!
WHITE
Periwinkle
I think you should keep it white or gray. Any other color would be blinding.

(Unless you like Laker colors ;P)
depends what colour is on the floor, how about cream? or aqua goes well with purple
cheaper if you just used the same color for the last wall.
With three dark colored walls I would go with something light...maybe a very very pale purple or just plain white
try gold for a really elegant look. or silver for a more modern feel
A cream color or a deep brown :)
BLUE !!
a pink colour or light purple
use a light gray.
only other colour that I think would go is white or cream
