What can I use to remove paint from interior walls/ceiling?

We saw that the surface underneath was smooth and shiny, so we figured it would just come right off. We have started scraping and it's just too arduous. Some areas come off easily, but others are near impossible. We have tried broad scrapers, razors, putty knives, basically everything. HELP!!!

Any gels, putties, or anything else that we can use???What can I use to remove paint from interior walls/ceiling?
Ther is nothing that wont remove/damage the paint underneathWhat can I use to remove paint from interior walls/ceiling?
I feel your pain. I had a few flakes of paint that I decided to scrape off. Then, I felt if i didn't remove all of the paint, that which I didn't remove would eventually flake off. Well, now I'm stuck in the middle of scraping HELL. I will try to prime it and keep my fingers crossed.

well if you have natural wood walls, the best way is to use a pressure washer. however you mention it is smooth, so i am assuming its drywall. you dont need to remove paint from drywall, just put a coat of primer over the current coat and paint over the primer. if you try scrapping your just putting your drywall at risk of getting damaged.
