What color should i paint my walls if my couch is blue?

it's not a baby blue or a navy blue, it's about right in the middle..it's for a finished basementWhat color should i paint my walls if my couch is blue?
I would paint the walls a pure white. White always works well with bold colors. Sounds like the couch is a bold blue. I would also accessorize the couch with pillows with tones of blues or stripes or fl orals. Painting the walls white afford you the opportunity to play with bold accessories, candles, picture frames, statues, books, funky and fun pieces, and art for the wall and tables. I think u should go with the yellows and the golds...i think it complements well
i think, white is better.
To make a room more radiant, you can paint the walls in light colors and introduce dashes of color through the furniture, complements, and ornaments.
Paint it baby blue or pink!!! even light green will look very nice.
If the room is small, it is best not to introduce too many different colors. In that case, choose a lighter shade of blue for the walls.

In a larger room, you can use a constrasting color. Light yellow, VERY light orange, shades of Rose are good.
I would use a light accented color for a blue couch.

Most likely a yellow, any hue but easter yellow.

Whatever you choose, make sure it's not hard on the eyes.

Basements don't usually get natural light so make the place cheerful!
White, antique white, or maybe a light tan. My choice would be the antique white
Since blue is on the cool side of the color wheel, why not warm up the space with a warm off white satin sheen paint. Please be sure to prime first. Since this is a basement and water can always be an issue, use Zinnser Kitchen and Bath paint. When it is applied as directed, it guarantees against mold for 5 years. Can also be tinted to match. The first coat will prime and the second is the finish.
I'd go with a grey. Something more on the pastel end of the spectrum to add a little brightness to the basement. You can find a nice light grey that will have hints of blue or green in it. Looks great.
I have a blue couch in my livingroom and painted the walls ';Robin's Egg Blue'; It really looks great.
what i have used that has been a trend recently is a buttercream yellow. you have to be careful that it is a pale enough yellow or you end up with a terribly bright color. ideally, a white paint with just a butter yellow tint. if you start putting it on and it's too bright or looks bad, all you do is half the color with an equal amount of white paint. it is amazing that a color that looks so pale in the bucket will look so colorful on the wall. sounds like a good color for the basement since they are dark--this will brighten it up and make it appear larger and more airy.
KHAKI WALLS, WITH SOME DARKER BROWN ACCENTS.
I would go with a lighter color of blue that is the same tone as the couch.

If you want a bit of contrast, celery green might look nice. A very pale golden yellow would contrast even more.
You can try some shades of white or very light blue
You could go either neutral, (white, eggshell, beige, etc) or go complimentary. Blue is the opposite of orange. You don't have to go bright orange, but maybe a nice peachy color.
