Go to sherwinwilliams.com and use the color charts. Just click%26amp;drag the colors to the wall and trim. What color should I paint the walls....???
stick with neutral colors they are easier to match furnature with and doesnt over power the rooms/house. also light yellows and greens are realy ';IN'; right now. there is this amazing color that is goregous. its called soft fern. its just great and you can match it with any other neutral. so the whole house will flow together. and if you are a really outgoing...wild and out there type of person... you should put that personality in the bedrooms adn master bed. thats where you put all of that spunk in. good lcuk!
I agree with Mr. Obvious's answer to click and drag so you will like it. The only thing I have to add to this is just to go with a semi gloss or satin finish. I use semi gloss in the kitchen and bath and satin in the bedrooms. The paint cleans easier and will not rub off like flat paint..
What colors do you like? Are there things you are trying to match? How much light do each of the rooms get.
Almost any color will work with stained wood.
look at objects right where you are right at this very moment... get inspired by colors around you.....get inspired by solid bedsheets, solid towels, solid table cloths etc. imagine those colors on the wall
I guess it depends on how light or dark you stain is, is it a reddish stain, brownish, etc. Take sample from the paint store and bring them home and hold the m up to it. If the rooms are smaller you would want to go with a lighter color, a dark color would make the room look smaller. If the room gets alot of light u can go with a darker color. In the kitchen try to get something that accents the appliances and cabinets. Go get a ';Fan Deck'; from the paint store, take it home , there are tons of colors to choose from.
I am a firm believer in one color for walls and the ceiling flat white. If you need to add color you can accomplish that with accessories. Don't let this come between you both.
Good Luck
