How to clean the walls without taking the paint off?

Dirt, crayons, marks, etc.How to clean the walls without taking the paint off?
Here are a few tips for cleaning the walls;

Crayon marks, spray with WD-40 lubricant and wipe crayon away with a paper towel.

Follow up with a solution of hot water and a little dishwashing liquid, washing with a circular motion with a soft cloth.

To remove ink of magic marker can use hairspray or rubbing alcohol , just use on the spot.

For removing marks can try to first erase the marks on the wall with an art gum eraser, for stubborn stains use alittle baking soda on the corner of a white rag and rub gently, just doing the mark.

Non-gel toothpaste works also for a spot remover.

A wall washing solution:

1 gallon warm water, 1/2 cup ammonia,1/4 white vinegar and 1/4 cup washing soda.

or 1 gallon warm water, 1 cup ammonia and 1 teaspoon mild dishawashing soap.

For real professional results, rinse the walls with clear water after with either of these solutions. Change the cleaning solutions frequently as it becomes soiled, if you do not choose to rinse.

Don't stop in the middle of cleaning one full wall, you will have tide marks.

Another tip, use a drop cloth around the area you will be cleaning, a frabic dropcloth, not plastic.

You should wrap a strip of washcloth or turkish toweling around your wrist several times and secure with rubber bands, this will keep drips from running up your arms when you are working with your arms above your head.

Should dust the walls first. Try a dust cloth around a broom and use for a duster. How to clean the walls without taking the paint off?
for crayon and marks that don't come off with a damp cloth i use mr. clean magic erasers. other wise i use a wash cloth, and pine-sol water and just rub down the walls.
flat paints are stained and need to be repainted. gloss and semi gloss paints can be wiped with a damp cloth. however, some of the areas may need to be touched up with paint.
Depends on the paint. Most paints are washable, can use just about everything. If not try using Dawn the dish soap.
I use Mr. Cleans' Magic Eraser ....works wonders.
