I purchases some cork tiles that I want to attach to my wall. Mounting tape was included in the package, however, I'm worried that if I use the tape it will remove the paint from my walls if at some point I want to remove the cork.
I don't know much about paint but what is on my walls has a matte finish...
Any advice on this would be very much appreciated! Will Mounting Tape remove the paint from my walls?
It may well remove the paint but if you're taking the tiles off for a good reason you may want to repaint anyway! Basically anything you stick them to the wall with permanently will probably damage the paint over time. Will Mounting Tape remove the paint from my walls?
this tape will almost certainly take the paint off im just wondering if you have or can get the same paint you have now and just dab in where you pull the tape off
you could try these new command strips they claim not to do damage
i dont know ive not used them yet
On removal it will probably take off a layer of paint. Suggest that at the points where the mountings are you put on a coat of some clear matt varnish. A nail varnish will do and then fix tiles when it is well dry. This wil stop the paint peeling off.
