my son stained the 3 walls with ball point pen ink i used hair spray then mr.clean then gone off but nothing worked.everything just removed the paint and walls r looking ugly.as i sprayed everything on wall the liquid went down on heater made it ugly too.now the landlord wants me to paint whole room. as i went to home depot she advised me to just scrape the areas of ink and then use primer but im not sure if it will match the rest of the walls or not.i have already spent time and money on it. i dont know if spending more time and money is gonna work or not.wat should i do?If i paint areas of ball point pen ink will it works and matches the whole wall or to paint the whole wall?
if the ball point ink is on paint use sugar soap or soda crystals to remove it. you will soon see after doing that if the wall needs a repaint, alternatively carry on washing the walls with the sugar soap or soda crystals. If i paint areas of ball point pen ink will it works and matches the whole wall or to paint the whole wall?
you'll need white primer (look for a brand called ';killz';) and redo the whoele wall
you need to prime the walls and allow this to dry...then you will see if it is covered or not. when it is completely covered and completely dry then and only then put on a coat of new paint...then get your kid a chalkboard and some chalk.
You will have to paint the whole room. New paint never matches old paint. Plus you will have to use a primer over the wall your son stained so it doesn't bleed through the new paint. Might as well prime all so it looks the same. Rather than trying to do a half job, do it all right the first time. You and your landlord will be happy.
Next time try a mr. clean magic eraser from kmart or wal-mart. If the wall is already completely messed up maybe ask the landlord what paint he used to match it. If all else fails go to Family Dollar and get a super cheap $5 gallon of paint and do the whole room. Good Luck.
You better hire someone to fix your mess because you are a disaster and everything you do only makes matters worse.
