What colour shall i paint my bathroom walls (the floor is slate colour & Tiles light blue)?

a sea green, like a turquoiseWhat colour shall i paint my bathroom walls (the floor is slate colour %26amp; Tiles light blue)?
A light grey colour on the walls would look beautiful, but I have some other questions first. How much money do you have to put towards any sort of renovation? Or was the bathroom recently redone? If the blue tiles are outdated and you would like a change, then I would suggest retiling the entire walls and ceiling with a blue tone glass mosaik tile. It will give the bathroom a HUGE facelift and make it feel extremely chic and modern. Pair this with a tropical potted plant in the corner and some plush white towels and stainless steel accessories (towel bar, garbage can, taps, soap dish). The spa feel will be amazing.

If that sort of reno cant be done, then simply painting the walls in a light grey tone and using white accessories and towels will look brilliant.

Goodluck! What colour shall i paint my bathroom walls (the floor is slate colour %26amp; Tiles light blue)?
With slate and light blue you need something to warm it up I would suggest a pale peach colour..
our bathroom is sea green and it works really well.
I like monotones. If you paint the walls in a shade of the floor colour, you will be free to accent with almost anything. Since you already have blue on the tile, deep blue towels and accessories would give a very calm spa type feel. If you are feeling dangerous, you could accent with deep burgundy or even a hot red. Choosing a colour should really be about what makes YOU feel great!
Yellow. Not a bright, bold, sunshine yellow, but a soft buttery yellow. It will brighten and warm the room.

Yellow/blue/white is classic. You can then use these same colors as the accent colors. Say yellow, blue, or white towels, blue candles, a yellow /blue/white striped shower curtain.

Hope this helps.

This link shows bathroom done in these colors, but it is in the bright shades http://www.doityourself.com/stry/blueyel鈥?/a>
The standard recommendation for room colour is to use ';a colour, a contrast and a neutral';.

You have the neutral (slate) you have the colour (blue) so how about a bit of contrasting colour?

Take into consideration the position of the room, your ';theme'; and the use of the room (with a southerly aspect you won't want hot, sultry colours). Bathrooms lend themselves to sea themes - a rich viridian perhaps to contrast with the pale blue.

If it has a Northerly aspect, you may like a yellow to add a bit of ';sunshine';
Id maybe go for a light grey colour, with some sea green accesories
I would go with the colour called Turkish Bread -- it is a very masculine colour (sort of a putty colour with a bit of tan in it) That will look quite nice with slate floor and blue tiles
If your male its usually dark colours. I don't know why you lot go for dark boring shades.

Blue is kinda cold for a bathroom so not that, but you could use different shades of blue, or have a blue ceiling, and that leaves only the walls again.

Silver walls! I got it SILVER
white with a hint of blue wood be very subtle but not boring? very effective! or even white with a hint of pale terracotta kinda shade?
Cream............Then you can have a choice of accessories. Go for chrome, it will really stand out.....Best of luck mate! It's gonna look the dog's, believe me.
a plum colour or something other warm colour to warm it up a bit otherwise it's going to look really wishy washy and cold
