Should you paint your walls then the trim, or trim then the walls?

Walls first, then trim. The trick is, you have to make sure that the wall paint is completely dry before you mask off to paint the trim. When the paint is dry, carefully use blue painter's tape, 1 1/2'; works very well. Make sure you run your finger around the inside edge of the tape, next to the trim, so the tape sticks well. Be careful not to overload your paintbrush, or the paint will build up in the seam where the trim meets the wall and it will ooze under the tape. When the trim paint is just dry to the touch, CAREFULLY pull the tape from the wall. Don't wait until the trim paint is 100% dry, or it'll be stuck in the seam and you'll have to cut it loose. If it's a little sticky on the wall, and isn't pulling off clean, you can use a hair dryer on low heat to help loosen the tape. Good luck.Should you paint your walls then the trim, or trim then the walls?

I disagree. Walls then trim. I find it a lot easier to keep the trim paint off the walls than the wall point off the trim.
The order does not matter . what counts is how well you mask . that's always the difficult task
