we have one wall in our hall painted a spicy orange color, and it looks very ';Bollywood-inspired';. I would suggest painting one wall or two a bright, spicy orange, with swirly patterns in a lighter orange. Then, make the other walls the same color as the lighter orange.





When it comes to decor, get lots of throw pillows and drapey fabrics to put around the room. Imagine it as a genie's bottle- really comfortable and a place to relax. You can get things like little elephants, etc. to put around the room.

For colors on the walls, if you already have a piece, pick colors from it for inspiration. Or go pick up a Sari that appeals to you and base your colors on that. Dark woods and any vivid colors with gold accessories will do the trick - and those sari's are great on walls, ceilings, furniture... get several and spread them around for a themed look.

For really cool designs, Google ';vinyl wall art';. There are countless designs, so you should find something in large or small sizes (large look awesome) in a color of your choice that is different and really compelling...





Careful with the intricate prints, I'd recommend having a helper put up anything large. Other than that, they're affordable, no damage to paint...
